Hosted by our Brisbane office on November 28 2023, ASA held an online interactive event during Queensland Disability Action Week to showcase the digital economy careers we provide for young neurodivergent adults in South East Queensland—all enabled by our on-the-job training.
Our Chief People Officer, Samantha Garbutt and People Success Officer (Transition Coordinator) Seath Holswich presented on:
• Who is ASA, and what do we do.
• Career opportunities available for neurodivergent young adults at ASA.
• The ASA recruitment process.
• Work experience opportunities at ASA.
We also had two of our fantastic data analysts present on the critical infrastructure projects they work on, including the Queensland electricity network (one of the largest in the world) and the National Broadband Network rollout.
In this video, you will learn how our neurodiverse team has thrived from the professional and personal support we have provided since we started in 2020. In only three years, we have helped create geospatial and digital engineering careers for more than 150 young neurodivergent adults.
By doing this, we help solve Australia’s skills shortages and data sovereignty concerns while creating enduring social impact for young neurodivergent adults who face a 34% unemployment rate by providing stable and meaningful work— improving their confidence, resilience and well-being.
